Information Curriculum Biology Study Program

The curriculum is a set of programs that are used as the basis for the implementation of the learning process in the Undergraduate Biology Study Program. The S1 Biology curriculum uses a semester credit system. Each learning activity provides semester credits units (SKS). SKS indicate the study load and the recognition of the student’s successful participation, recognition for the success of the cumulative effort towards a particular program, and the effort towards providing education for tertiary institutions and especially for teaching staff.

Every 1 SKS of lectures equals: 1 x 50 minutes of scheduled face-to-face lectures, 1 x 60 minutes of structured activities and 1 x 60 minutes of independent activities. Every 1 SKS of practica equals: 2–3 x 60 minutes of scheduled laboratory practica, 1 x 60 minutes of structured activities, and 1 x 60 minutes of independent activities.

The curriculum of the Undergraduate Biology Study Program is prepared in accordance with the vision, mission, goals, objectives, and learning outcomes of the study program graduates.

It is based on the Undip Chancellor’s Decree No. 715 / UN7.P / HK / 2017 concerning the Determination of Curricula for Diploma, Undergraduate, Master, Doctoral, Professional, and Specialist Education Programs for Study Programs at Diponegoro University in 2017–2022. The curriculum of the Undergraduate Biology Study Program has a load of 144 SKS, divided into:

University Compulsory Subjects = 16 SKS

Science Bonggol Subjects = 60 SKS

Mega Biodiversity Subjects = 20 SKS

Study Program Compulsory Subjects = 30 SKS

Elective Subject Study Programs = 18 SKS
