Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – Prof. Sapto Purnomo Putro, Ph.D., a lecturer from Diponegoro University, will participate as a keynote speaker at The 8th International Conference on Food and Nutrition (ICFN 2025), to be held on May 22–23, 2025, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This prestigious event is organized by IFERP Life Sciences (formerly known as Bioleagues) in collaboration with the Universal Society of Food and Nutrition (USFN), carrying the theme “Innovative Approaches to Global Nutrition and Sustainable Food Systems.”

In his upcoming keynote speech, Prof. Sapto will deliver a talk titled “Productive Sustainable Aquaculture Practice through IMTA System to Enhance Seafood Quality, Sustainability and Security in Support of SDG Goals 2, 3, 6, and 12.” The presentation aims to share in-depth perspectives on the integration of environmental and biological sciences to support sustainable food systems. His insights are based on extensive academic and research experience and are highly relevant to today’s global challenges in nutrition and food sustainability.

In addition to his role as a keynote speaker, Prof. Sapto will also represent the Center for Marine Eco-Biology and Sustainable Aquaculture (Ce-MEBSA), where he serves as CEO. Ce-MEBSA is one of the academic partners of the conference, contributing to the scientific program by promoting interdisciplinary collaboration, particularly in advancing research and innovation in sustainable aquaculture and marine-based nutrition strategies.
