Kuala Lumpur – The Center of Marine Ecology and Biomonitoring for Sustainable Aquaculture (Ce-MEBSA), Diponegoro University (UNDIP), proudly served as an official partner at The 8th International Conference on Food and Nutrition (ICFN) 2025, held on May 22–23, 2025, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

This prestigious international conference carried the theme “Innovative Approaches to Global Nutrition and Sustainable Food Systems,” attracting nutrition experts, dietitians, academics, researchers, health professionals, and students from various countries including Indonesia, India, and Malaysia.

Prof. Drs. Sapto P. Putro, M.Si., Ph.D., Head of Ce-MEBSA and Chair of the Biology Department at the Faculty of Science and Mathematics UNDIP, expressed his appreciation for being part of the event. “It is an honor for Ce-MEBSA to be a partner in this international forum. As one of UNDIP’s Centers of Excellence, we focus on sustainable marine and coastal management through environmentally friendly aquaculture systems, particularly Integrated Multi-Trophic Aquaculture (IMTA),” he stated.

Prof. Sapto also contributed as a keynote speaker, presenting a topic titled “Comparative Study on Benthic Biodiversity as a Strategy to Ensure Sustainable Seafood Supply Chains and to Support Nutrition Security and Sustainability.” His presentation emphasized the role of benthic biodiversity as a bioindicator for assessing marine ecosystem stability, particularly through biomonitoring in aquaculture zones, and its contribution to sustainable food supply and nutrition security.
