SEMARANG, KABARKU.NET -Chairman of the Department of Biology, Faculty of Science and Mathematics (FSM) University of Diponegoro (Undip), Prof. Drs. Sapto P. Putro, M.Si., Ph.D initiated cooperation between the Faculty of Science and Mathematics (FSM) Undip and the Faculty of teacher training and education (FKIP) and the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) Univeritas Mataram, Lombok.
According to Prof. Sapto, the form of this cooperation is in the field of development of education, research and community service. “This cooperation has begun with the provision of public lecture materials to students of the University of Mataram,” he explained. Sapto discussed the application of biomonitoring as an important part of modern marine aquaculture Integrated Multi Trophic Aquaculture (IMTA) system.
According to him, on May 30, 2022, the Department of Biology FSM Undip has implemented a cooperation agreement with the two faculties of the University of Mataram Lombok. The signing of cooperation was signed by Prof. Dr. Widowati, S.Si., M.Si, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Mathematics, Diponegoro University (as the First party), with Prof. Dedy Suhendra, Ph.D, Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Mataram as the second party. The signing of cooperation was also carried out between Prof. Dr. Widowati, S.Si., M.Si, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Mathematics, Diponegoro University with Dr. H. A Wahab Jufri, M.Sc, Dean of the Faculty of teacher training and Education, University of Mataram.
Widowati said that the scope of the cooperation agreement covers a number of academic fields. Namely covering the Merdeka Learning Program of the Merdeka campus (MBKM), training and curriculum, the field of research includes research and publications involving students, the field of applied research includes the fields of marine ecology, sustainable aquaculture, mathematical modeling for the environment, biomonitoring, and marine biology. Also the utilization of research results include appropriate technology through joint community service activities, community service includes joint community service activities involving students, empowerment of experts, commitment to the absorption of graduates in accordance with the requirements/procedures specified and other fields agreed. ”The form of implementation of this cooperation will be carried out in the form of education and training, Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) Program activities, assignment of students in joint activities, assignment of experts in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, development and application of technology and entrepreneurship,” he explained.
In addition, cooperation on the utilization and application of research results, development and application of new technologies related to Information Systems, joint utilization of laboratory equipment in the framework of joint research, research and community service together with involving students, community service, joint research and publications and are willing to accept graduates of the First party with the provisions if the second party is in need and in accordance with applicable terms and conditions. ”This cooperation agreement is valid for a period of 5 (five) years from the date of signing, and can be extended based on the agreement of the parties with written notice six months before the term expires,” he explained. ***
