Two undergraduate students from the Biology program, Faculty of Science and Mathematics (FSM), who are members of the Shokaido Karate Student Activity Unit (UKM), successfully achieved remarkable success at the <em>Gadjah Mada International Open Championship<\/em> held from February 21 to 23, 2025, in Yogyakarta.<\/p>\n<p data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-32168 \" src=\"https:\/\/bio.fsm.undip.ac.id\/v1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/WhatsApp-Image-2025-02-25-at-10.24.59_287a3f8e-e1740541356147.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"539\" height=\"315\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\"><em><span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\">Amanda Marcella Octaviani Won a Gold Medal in the Women&#8217;s Student Kumite -55kg category<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Amanda Marcella Octaviani secured a <strong>gold medal<\/strong> in the <strong>Women&#8217;s -55kg Student Kumite<\/strong> category, while Nanda Indarwati also delivered an outstanding performance, winning a <strong>silver medal<\/strong> in the <strong>Women&#8217;s -68kg Student Kumite<\/strong> category. Both athletes displayed incredible fighting spirit and exceptional technical skills on the tatami!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-32169 \" src=\"https:\/\/bio.fsm.undip.ac.id\/v1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/WhatsApp-Image-2025-02-25-at-10.28.55_caa1b766-scaled-e1740541431889.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"525\" height=\"307\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\">Nanda Indarwati also performed extraordinarily by winning a silver medal in the Women&#8217;s Student Kumite -68kg category<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p>This championship, which featured karate athletes from various universities and renowned karate clubs, served as a proving ground for UNDIP students, demonstrating their ability to compete at both national and international levels.<\/p>\n<p>This achievement is undoubtedly a source of pride for the Biology Undergraduate Program, proving that Biology students excel not only academically but also in sports.<\/p>\n<p>Congratulations to Amanda and Nanda!
