YOGYAKARTA – Another proud achievement has been made by students of Diponegoro University! Two undergraduate students from the Biology program, Faculty of Science and Mathematics (FSM), who are members of the Shokaido Karate Student Activity Unit (UKM), successfully achieved remarkable success at the Gadjah Mada International Open Championship held from February 21 to 23, 2025, in Yogyakarta.
Amanda Marcella Octaviani Won a Gold Medal in the Women’s Student Kumite -55kg category
Amanda Marcella Octaviani secured a gold medal in the Women’s -55kg Student Kumite category, while Nanda Indarwati also delivered an outstanding performance, winning a silver medal in the Women’s -68kg Student Kumite category. Both athletes displayed incredible fighting spirit and exceptional technical skills on the tatami!

This championship, which featured karate athletes from various universities and renowned karate clubs, served as a proving ground for UNDIP students, demonstrating their ability to compete at both national and international levels.
This achievement is undoubtedly a source of pride for the Biology Undergraduate Program, proving that Biology students excel not only academically but also in sports.
